    Headless server

    Hi guys, I have a Greatever S905x box (1g/8g).

I want to create a headless server whereby I have Sabnzbd/Sonarr/Radarr etc installed to download from usenet. But I also want to mount my google drive to push the data back. I'm looking at using Plex Cloud and simply want my box to run this whilst hard wired to the router.

Is this possible? I had a look at just installing a Linux distro but it appears to be very much in the early stages and probably a bit above my skills. I currently have Libreelec installed on it and although they offer some addons, I'm not sure mounting GDrive is one of them.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hello sihaworth, Welcome to Freaktab.

I have not tried what you are wanting to do. My Linux skills are only casual, so this may not be helpful.

Linux images that boot and run from an SD card or Flash drive are a available. Freaktab user balbes150 has several images available for many AML devices, including the S905x, in both desktop and headless varients. These are easy to use and pretty functional. Some can also be installed to the box. The versions that boot/run form SD/Flash drive will not alter the installed OS, so you can play without much risk.

Looking around for mounting gdrive in Linux, I found these.

google-drive-ocamlfuse client is a FUSE-based file system written in Ocaml, which makes it possible to mount and unmount Google Drive on Linux Systems. - Part 3

If you're looking for an easy way to mount your Google Drive folders to a Linux box, Jack Wallen shows you how with the help of google-drive-ocamlfuse.

balbes150's images can be found here.

A guide to their use can be found here.

He also has LibreELEC images available.

    Hope it helps.
