Hello all,

Here it is the New Hybrid Custom Rom for the following Devices:

MK802IV New WiFi Chip - CX-919 - Podoor T518
** MK908 must be Confirmed**

The Rom is an Android 4.2.2 Rom with a 3.0.36+ Kernel.
I have tweaked this Rom for Speed and Stability.
Bluetooth and Wifi are confirmed to Work.
Removed all unneeded Software.
Fully Rooted.

Features:

2 GB Space for Apps
4 GB Space for Data
Init.d Support
Standard Launcher
Android TV Launcher from me

Ultra Explorer
Reboot App
BlackScreen App

Flashing:

Unpack it and Run RK Android Tool.
For MK802IV please change the Kernel.img to Kernel1.img in RK Android Tool.

Which WIFI chip is compatiable for ?
Only say new WIFI CHIP is not a good idea.A new wifi chip maybe product in it tomorrow . Best is open it and write down the specs of the chip.

tested on CX-919, there is no wifi signal, it's strange. have flashed again, the same result.

i remember the CX-919 also used the AP6210,but don't know why it can't work.

will test on mk908 later.

It works, but the picture is shifted to the left on my TV. Also, when I try to activate 1080p, it just scales up from 720p and I can see 1/4th of my screen.


So, erh.. do you happen to know where I could get the original firmware back on?

Dear Neomode,
Here is a strange problem. After seeing you post about the T518, I went ahead and bought it. Then I came here and installed your ROM. But:
1] If I choose kernel.img, the Wifi works fine, but Bluetooth keeps crashing every 3-4 seconds. Also, it refuses to pair with my headset.
2] If I choose kernel1.img, BT is stable and connects without issues. But Wifi refuses to even turn on.
3] The same as pt 2 happens if I choose the kernel from Finless 4.2.2.

Is it possible for you to post a kernel2.img that has the Wifi bits from kernel.img and the Bluetooth bits from kernel1.img? That, i assume, will solve my problem.

Also, i was too lazy to back up the original firmware. So I am now stuck in this either or situation - either BT or Wifi!
Please help! Also, is there any place i can download the stock firmware?

Thank you. Will wait for an update from you. Incidentally, i managed to track down the stock firmware for T518 on this page http://www.w2comp.com/detail.asp?cat...4&pdtid=711571

Have reverted to it and Wifi plus BT are both working fine. Wondering if I could use the kernel from here. How do i extract it? Winimage is giving errors, and so is 7-zip.

Would you be able to extract and post the kernel.img from this file?

Thanks, Neomode. The combination of your ROM and this kernel is working fine - wifi and bt turn on. but, as with an earlier poster, the display area has shifted to bottom left, instead of taking up the entire screen? how can i fix it? any file i can edit?
