It arrived in a week and a half, it was supposed to be a gift for a friend and unfortunately it did not work out of the box.
So so I began to process a return and I was told I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee and I would be responsible for sending it back.
The unit was 97.xx after taxes. Shipping alone was ~$24 and the restocking fee would take another 20$ out of my funds and that's because they sent me a defective unit. After on going conversation they decided since the unit was DOA they would not charge the restocking fee.
Well many emails later and I asked them if they would be able to send out another unit to me, I paid the additional 25$ out of pocket for the shipping and waited 4 months to even begin the conversation about a refund and well I asked them to send me a minix neo u1. Their response was an immediate no.
I guess what what I would like to say is if you are unlucky and get a defective product be ready to wait for close to half a year to get your money back and at the end of the day you will be out return shipping costs. Moral of the story avoid geekbuying. If you buy from amazon you are going to be protected and the return process won't take over a few days! Also a lot of the time the price is cheaper and you will get your products much faster.
Shipping back to china is expensive and almost not worth the haste of the risk of receiving a defective unit as they are made in China and a lot of them cut corners.
Thanks for reading and I hope you find the item you are looking for elsewhere at a better price and with a better return policy!
