    RK3288 Device bricked

    Hi!

I have an device with rk3288 chip. The device is currently bricked, so i can not flash any firmware.
This is since a flash process failed with "Download IDB failed". My idea was to short the pins (8, 9) of the nand module to bring the device into maskrom mode.
This is not possible because the pins are not accesible. I attached some picture of the board.

Is there any chance to get the device running again?

I hope you can help me

    Simon

    Hi sschirr ,

what is the Name of the Device ???

i have on my UT3 two small golden plates in front of the Nand , with them i can bring the Device in MRM .

On your Pictures i saw something similar only between the RK3288 and the two Chips .

What FW do you wanted to flash ??? Have you tried a older FW , like KK ???

    here Pictures for MRM :

This is a Orbbec Persee embedded depth camera. (https://orbbec3d.com/product-persee/)

The device is not recognized anymore when i connect it with my pc since the failed flash process.
I use the DriverAssitant v4.3 and AndroidTool v2.3 on Windows 10.

I tried the two golden plates between the nand (see picture). I shorted them with a screw driver and connected the device to my pc via usb otg. Still not regonized.

Here are the official firmware downloads für this device from orbbec.

I tried to flash ubuntu 14.04 image.
The orbbec support dont want to help me and suggested me to buy a new one...

Is it possible that the hardware is broken? Is there any way to find out?

      Thanks for your help.
