X96 Stock Firmware [1.1.1] with Notifications/Navigation bar + Root

Was struggling with the Stock X96 rom on my 2/16 model.. although my build showed MHC2017xx it kept hanging and the pre-installed Kodi was utterly useless. also the lack of notification panel got to me.

took this off the russian forums and seems to work perfectly now. not sure about the remote but should be easily fixed now since this is pre-rooted.

Installation:
Download
Extract all into root folder in SD card
toothpick the reset button in the IR port + power on

The first boot should be in russian but you can easily change in settings.

I have modded the X96 a bit, including a TWRP recovery.
But seems it all ended a bit in the wrong section, maybe a nice mod will move it one day ? :
