Work with Android 7 and Android 5.1.1.

This is not offical firmware / mod from himedia, it's only a Experiment to have Android TV Experience not a real Android TV.

This hack is "Experience" because is not real "Android TV" system, there are only:

1. - Android TV leanback launcher
2. - Android TV Playstation to install leanback-APP for better experince with remote control

DRM and certification are still WIDE Level 3.

why use this hack?
Becasue interface is nice and smooth and leanback app.


Kodi and Himedia media center work as regular firmware.

who leanback app work:
- youtube are still Limited 1080p , with my FHD TV ...

• Amazon Video EU 4.1.20 (Android TV app) -> crash at start
• Prime Video (Android OS app) -> crash when playback video

But all is working progress ....
Step 0:
- Backup data
If there is some problem, can be fixed with flash last firmware.

Step 1:

1. - Download Fake Android TV v0.1.1.rar
2. - Unzip it- Execute RUNME.bat (dubble click)
3. - Insert himedia IP address from
4. - at command prompt choose 1 "Fake SHIELD Android TV": by enter "1" from keyboard than press enter
5. - than wait himedia box rebbot.

Than you can choose Android TV (s) leanback launcher as default, To go back Himedia homepress 3D blu button (strange but work).



Step 2:
Install sideload launcher to have access to himedia APP and system setting
