i can't enter in recovery

Hi. My name is robert. I'm a new member of this forum.
I bought a tronsmart s89 elite of second hand.
I want to change the firmware from 105k to 112k but i can't.
I tried with the usb , with the sdcard and with apps.
the ota server doesn't work.
I can't enter to the recovery mode.
what can i do?

Heya, @roberlover,

I'm not sure where your problem starts? Which software are you using, or are you connecting from pc or laptop...version of windows. SD card formated Fat32...?

As you know, this China Box is getting a bit dated already and OTA updates come to an end. Who knows if Tronsmart is supporting any of their Android products these days?

To enter recovery:
hold reset button (AV port ) .. Connect power cable/powerup unit...keep holding reset for another 10sec release

however there was a firmware without a working recovery
finless created a recovery.zip to fix this issue ( if remember correctly)

alternative
make a sdcard with fat32 and at (found at finless rom thread)

• factory_update_param.aml.
• you will have a .zip firmware update file.
• recovery.img.
• u-boot.bin.

place these file's in the root of the sdcard...insert sdcard in s802
then use as stated above (how to enter recovery) ...then it should boot the recovery from the sdcard
