what is the wifidisplay app for?

After installing Finless 2.0 rom, I found an app called Wifidisplay.
What is this app for? miracast?
How can I use it with my Windows 7 PC?
I was trying to miracast my Windows 7 PC to Imito MX1 but I did not find a way.

    Thanks for any suggestion!

This App is for Playing Video´s from your Handy on your TV Stick.
For this I use on my Smart Phone IMedia Share.

you activate the app on your tv stick.
after this take your handy and take a app like imedia share select a video and then you can stream to your tv stick.

it is used to mirror your display and audio. It is included in android 4.2 and up. If it is acting as a true Miracast (wifi direct) device it will not work on windows 7. Miracast is only supported on Windows 8.

I used it with success but experienced serious video lag with any video movements beyond the basic screen swipes. Netflix worked, but in still images.

Video lag is a known issue with miracast. I have a friend who uses a netgear miracast device and video is smooth.

Everything is in there I believe.

I have a Win7 and WinXP apps that work with my MX1 but the pic is unstable and flashes sometimes. For my phone Optimus G the colors are off but the pic is fine otherwise.

If you cannot find the apps then let me know I will will try and host on box.
