    External sd issue

    Hi guys,

I've a Mk808b with last Finless Rom installed.
    I'm facing the following issues:
    1) no way to write into the 64gb external sd card even if I set out the RW permissions with ES file explorer
    2) It seems that there's a issue in copying big size files (I've tried with a 1.4GB mkv video) from or to a win pc within my network. I've tested either with ES file explorer and ANDSMB but transfer fails immediately.
Small size files (like IMGs) are transferred correctly. I've also tried to transfer MKV files from USB hard disk to sdcard within the MK808b and again it works.
    3) Last (but not the least) my external hard disk works correctly if connected directly to usb port but not if through the 7 ports usb hub (bought from geekbuying).

I had a look to the previous posts but it seems that no one had any of the a.m. problems. Any idea?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.

    1) what is your sdcard filesystem?
3)Is the usb hub selfpowered? Or it take the voltage from the usb of the stick?

Frankly speaking I don't know what is the filesystem. I didn't format the sdcard so it's the original.
Regarding the hub it's not self powered.

Maximum reported SD card size supported on these things is 32GB - I don't know if anyone has gotten a bigger one to work. You will need a mains powered USB hub for reliable use with an external HDD.

Yes, he is right about hub, and sorry bur I didn't test sdcard bigger than 16Gb, you cam see the filesystem connecting it in a windows pc and click in properties, it csn be ntfs (almost sure) or fat32, the last one have better compatibility.

so i have tried many sd card sizes and anything larger than 32 gb does not work . and you have to be careful transfering anything thru a hub most of the time it causes problems .

any time i transfer movie files i always go direct thru the pc , no hub .
