Netflix not working any more on your Android device - Read This

Netflix now blocks rooted devices, devices with unlocked bootloaders & devices that are not Google certified with their latest app version.
You can't download or update it any more from the Play Store.
Only way is to use an old Netflix app that won't function for much longer.

All well and good, but I think Netflix do block the older versions eventually. (That's how I experienced it anyway)
I've had an older version that just stopped working, and after updating the app everything worked again. Could have been something else, but I doubt it.

I kinda anticipated something like this would eventually happen and got myself an NVidia Shield for content streaming.

Even with unroot and locked bootloader, are any of the Chinese Android devices Widevine-compliant?
