The annoying thing about a MK802III is that it doesn't have a button to force it into flash mode if you bricked it. The only way out is to open the case and short 2 tiny pins on the flash chip:
I was wondering if anyone succeeded in adding a hardware button for this purpose, perhaps just by soldering it to those 2 pins?

Does shorting those 2 pads also work? The official instructions from rikomagic only mention the 2 pins on the flash chip. The pads would be easier to solder though.
