4K, H96 Pro Plus 3GB/32GB, DDR4 internet connection falls out

I have the 4K, H96 Pro Plus 3GB/32GB, DDR4 (with 4 USB connectors, 2 visible and 2 'hidden').
Android 6.0.1
Build: MHC19.20170406 test-keys
On print: S32-V3(DDR4)

I'm running an app in background mode with a web server. It runs both in 'normal' mode and in sleep.
The app is tinyCam Monitor PRO http://tinycammonitor.com/

The problem is general.
Both cabled and WiFi connection 'falls out' after some time (hours to 2-3 days). The status for connection is 'ON' both in the notification area and in settings, but the unit is not connected.
Unplugging/plugging the ethernet cable or closing/reestablishing the WiFi ( or reboot) will restore the internet connection.
Cabled connection will have precedence.

Does anyone know a possible reason to this?

I think I was getting the same problem. After I flashed it with the SCV1 Normal firmware for GT1 Ultimate, my connection problems went away.
Mine is a Alfawise H96 Pro+ 3/32 (DDR4). I managed to flash it through the sd card method.

I did a flash of my 4K, H96 Pro Plus 3GB/32GB, DDR4 (with 4 USB connectors, 2 visible and 2 'hidden') with SCV1 Normal firmware for GT1 Ultimate.
Went OK except for the remote not working and WiFi/BT not working too. Added TWRP to flash the SCV1_GT1_Ultimate_9377_Wifi .zip. Then BT worked to add the keyboard (did not try before the flash of WiFi/BT fix), but WiFi just refuses to be turned on.
So did I do it right? Any alternatives?
Hm Maybe I should have used the ATV-version - will give it a go. ;-)

Edit:
The WiFi/BT-chip is the 8223A-SR and it has WiFi MAC Address 20:00:00:00:00:00 -> no go.
It is said that the 8223A and q9377 should be compatible - but seems not to be.

Network connection (cable) still falls out. Approximately after 24h. Status claims connection exist - but there is no connection. WiFi can be established but flakes out and in.
Removing the cable and plugging it in again will establish a stable connection (until it falls out again). WiFi seems to be useless.

The cursor becomes invisible after getting out of sleep. A reboot will fix. :-(
Seems to be related to screen save - not sleep.
Select Power-> Sleep and blue light is out (and TV can be switched to other HDMI input).
App with WEB server can still be accessed during sleep - as it should.
If box is on (blue light) and TV is switched to HDMI from box, the box goes into sleep. Access from BT-keyboard (e.g. touchpad) brings is on.

Any clues?

No restart required just unplugging the network cable and plugging it again after few seconds will re-establish a working connection.

Any clues?

pkylle, I have this exact same problem on the exact same device. I'm now running SCV7a, which didn't solve the problem.

Did you ever get this sorted? It's terribly annoying to have to un-plug / re-plug the internet cable every hour or so. I thought it might be related to heating, so I'm going to try to install a cooling fan.

tx413 No I did not. Opted for a newer version of https://chinagadgetsreviews.com/down...us-tv-box.html.
So, for the time being, I'm not using any of the system offered here. I primarily use the box as host for tinyCam Monitor, an app for handling a number of IP-cams with motion detection, recording and a web-server for remote access. It works. (also in sleep mode)
The only funny thing I have with the box is, the wired network connection drops out when 'turned on' from sleep and sometimes also after days of use. WiFi is still flaky so I do not use it. Shame.

SOLVED IT

For me, all I had to do was set a Static IP instead of DHCP in the H96 network settings. I just set the same IP address that DHCP had assigned to the box. It's been up and running for 3 days now and no problems. Before it would barely last an hour. I'm using Ethernet, not WiFi. Haven't tried WiFi but it should also fix the problem there too.

I don't know why this works, but I had the same issue with a different internet box a couple of years ago and it took me awhile to remember what I did to fix things. I think it has something to do with my router or switch or just the strange combination of all the boxes.

I have my box on infinite lease time ( the equivalent of fixed) and two different IPs, one for cable and one for WiFi.

pkylle, is there a setting on the box for infinite lease time or is it on the router? 

I to am using an Ethernet connection so it seems like it is related to some type of connection time out.

If ADSL..check power supply they have been known to be noisy and can interfere.

The lease time is set as part of DHCP on the router.

Seems odd it would be an issue with the router. I have upwards of 10 devices connected, 4 of which are Android boxes and this is the only one with an issue. I set to static. Its always several hours before my connection drops. I'll try in the morning and report back.
