H96 pro plus 3 + 32 firmware help

i just bought the h97 pro plus shipped with 7.1.1 kodi locked up or i get artifacts blurring in videos and rebooting. So i tried all of the roms i could find on this board and still the same thing? is this the firmware or motherboard.?


also is there a build prop tweak to run this @ 4 to 6 cores then 8 to prevent the box from heating up while playing videos.
