Today we can start to have a look at the Zidoo X7, thanks to Zidoo and DHL super fast.

Bit of Look on the inside nice looking PCB Heat sink is stuck on for keeps and good use of the Metal Weight plate or extra heatsink with thermal pad.
Would have liked to see a few more vents to get a bit more circulation, but as these don't have much of a heat problem should be fine. (we hope).

Now to the business end of the deal and lets see what we have.

Well it Looks a little like Android TV on Steroids...but it is just the Ziui Taurus and under all that is Android7 with normal Google Play store.
Also Taurus is a little unwell and wants to stop once in awhile. must be the cold weather.

We have Some basic setting that you can set thru ZIUI or easy to find the normal Android & settings
Do Have Upper and Lower task bars
Don't have root at this stage.

Easy to setup google no problems and all apps etc in and working so far












Maybe a few more things to discover but enough UI for now

So there we have a first quick look at the box, whats in the box and how the box performs basic test only.
Now to fiddle with some videos that should be pretty easy I feel
Should mention WiFi and Ethernet no troubles here, box is cool....More as I find it,
Almost forget the remote also works pretty well from most angles, but I am a keyboard person...but this is easier with a remote.

Further testing of Videos, Netflix, Plex Youtube....
All good so far,

Remote appears to lose some control in Netflix, Video playback looks ok using version 4.8. not HD but very watchable
YouTube 1080p clean and good remote a bit suss also navigating I found but I am not a remote person.
Plex easy , playing well

The Inbuilt Video player played all i threw at it...so looking good,
BT speaker easy as Bit of Music etc...so all up looking good.
No more errors seen with ZIUI stopping so may have been a glitch

Not 100% sure if I like the Android TV look, just old fashion I guess.
