Popo M8 Pro; Rilyroms; CWM & BATTERY

I am enjoying my M8 Pro with the install of the RR 1.7 (thanks, Mr. Rily) It is surely the best combo I have used thus far in using China tabs.

    Issue.
Battery will only charge to 80%.
I now see that doing a battery calibration after a new rom is needed ...which I failed to do ....so,.....should I load RR 1.8, even though it is optimized for 3G (I have Wi-Fi only), OR
.....should I stick with and reload 1.7, and then recalibrate, OR
    .....
is CWM a better method of resetting the battery. I have tried the battery recalibration apps with no real success.

I read that RR1.8 may have a battery drain issue when used with wi-first tablets, hence my hesitation.

    Thanks.

Sometime today, I will have a 1.8 version for the wifi tablet.

    Stay tuned.

I will look for it. Thanks.

      Which is better?
After loading the new ROM, to use CWM to calibrate the battery or one of the aftermarket apps?

My experience is that the battery calibrates itself after several charges. It just takes a little while to get it going.

Whenever I flash, I try to do it with 100% battery...which I think speeds up the process.

I haven't had any luck with apps...and I've never tried the CWM calibration feature.

Thanks for that. I may have a sub par batt. I have charged it a number of times ...can get to a max. of 80%.

I will trudge on .....regardless, one day may replace with a larger battery, better battery.

Have you tried disconnecting, wait 5 minutes, then reconnect the battery? It is soldered on, bur the solder pads are large and located at the PCB edge.
