Today we have a bit of a fiddle with the Mi Smart lamp
Pictures later on but not a lot so see a Lamp, Power pack Big Box...

Plug it in Push the Volume like control on the base rotate left or right up and down the brightness goes easy..

But the fun part is hooking up to you phone:

Using the Mi Home App and glad to see its more user friendly than previous, you will need to log in and set up an account looks ok.
Many things to Fiddle and Control...

You have some Preset Values

Or you get set you own using touch screen on Phone to adjust to your Eyes pleasure

That smudgy bit is my finger on the screen had to capture that bit

All very instantaneous from phone to lamp thru wifi

As we can see from My Phone captures very easy to set up your own Lighting affect to suit your mood.
Now for the promised Pictures of this fun device.....if a lamp can be fun, I think it is.

We can see come in rather Large Box...19 inches or 50cm in length approx

With in this box is another monolith of cardboard, well packed would handle the roughest postage delivery

What we have amongst all this is packing is a Lamp

and the 12volt power pack, nice long lead as well

So as Mentioned you have full control of the Lamp
with the Mi Home Phone App that can be found on Google Play and also happy to see it is more English Friendly...
and can also connect to other Mi Products Cameras, Speakers and Phones.

THE IOT of things I guess

Thought I would show this in the interest of fun things out there, you can even install the app on your media player hand to tuck away in a hard to get at spot as the App with in an instant can power it on of....I plan to place this behind my monitors don't need the switch got the app excellent.

So further to this Device working pretty easy with the Mi Home software...
Today we get a software update,

Lot of info in that

Customised the on Button to my needs but as I use the phone to turn it on, switch gets little use, would be handy if on a desk..or bed lamp

May have to get a couple more the good wife is eyeing this one...
