    K-R42 XBMC streaming smoothness

I have a Gbox Midnight MX2 that handles XBMC (Icefilms/Mashup,,etc) pretty well & plays all 720P/1080p very smoothly. It lacks power for anything else since it is only a dual core with 1gig ram. I gave my Gbox to a friend so I'm looking for a quad core replacement.

I want to buy the K-R42 but I don't want to play 720P & 1080P video with an external player. Does the custom rom uses external player for HD movies or XBMC's internal player? I can live w/o 1080P till the new kernel is released but I want 720P movies that are streamed to play smoothly with no jitter.

720p plays fine, but 1080 will possibly work with a new rom... not just yet.
I would look at this one

    same chip as SGS3.

The YW9300 is having issues as well with HDMI and 1080P. I have no hurry for 1080P but I do want 720P to play smoothly. So with the current custom rom does the K-R42 uses an external player to pay 720P HD movies or does it use XBMC internal player??
