Updating Google Play Store

Hello,

I am currently running X96 Magendanz ROM with remote fix and would like to update the google play store to the latest version - Google Play Store (Android TV) 7.9.34.

Installing the apk fails, what is the proper procedure?

Is the Magendanz a AndroidTv Rom ??? , try stock PlayStore update .

Yes android TV rom. I tried to update through the play store by pressing the version number in settings. It would say downloading play store update, but never update. Can the apk be replaced manually? I have root access to system>app and priv-app

What version do you have and what version are you trying to update to?

You may have to stop the Google play store and play services and clear the caches first before another version will install.

I tried force closing + cleaning the cache of both apps still won't install. The cache of services won't clear, but it clearing the data causes the app to crash.

I have version 7.5.08.M-xhdpi [8]

Trying to install 7.9.34

Try uninstalling the updates that are on the device for the play store etc, so it is back as it was when the firmware was built.

There is no option to uninstall updates. Must be the only version ever installed.
