Why do you have to sign the firmware and also use rk3318 files?
Won't it cause permanently bricked devices if people flash it and then never be able to flash other unsigned firmware again?
Firmware sign tools are extremely dangerous to use.
Android Pie has built-in support for Magisk and TWRP, no need to develop it yourself.

hey, I got TWRP 3.1.1 working on my t9 rk3328 with rock64 androind 9.0 (PIE) firmware. the ramdisk and display is not working properly but it gets the job done. I used few xda android kitchen and rockchip's SecureBootTool_v1.94 , rk_sign_tool_v1.3 to sign the whole firmware. and it got it working. I installed the pacman gapps. with rock64 sotck firmware it runs smooth. I used rk3318 boot file because rock64 was not booting.
Just wanted to let yall know TWRP boots and you can make thing happen if you search for android kitchen scripts and few rock chip tools from github. It too me 2 days of trying different things.
Also magick does not work.
Put in the loader mode (with adb reboot loader or by pushing the pins) -> use rk tools to loaded img (i packed it with rock64 firmware and signed it)--> tv box starts ---> reboot to loader ---> just flash recovery section --> start---> reboot to recovery (adb reboot recovery) and flash pa gapps.
If it does goes smooth I will compile the rktool flash firmware later.
Here is the stuff I put together. I did not coded the ramdisk and stuff.

I have read reams enough to convince me it's a pia lost cause project for almost everyone
Sometimes it just be's like that!
I just wish I had some of my search time back... I hate to fail, after large investments.
... it's enough to make whiskey my friend, again

Guest repliedWell, I have a build of TWRP 8.1 for RK3328 64-bit Oreo that's ready to test, provided we can find a way to disable AVB.

No love for img thru stock magicsee 3399... "can't map file".
Various file.opts were the same.
I will say this rk3399 (7.1.2) is pretty durable, land's right side up (knock on wood!) every time.
All settings, all come back from this try and several other re-ota's of last update just like it was.
I have had to load firmware to straighten a few corrupt ui/apk actions
Worked so far as a reset of the specific problem: magisk, etc
I think the stock recovery, with some added ability would be a real alternative to the elusive (read: impossible) tw..
.. Just saying.

gefattern hmm? Major apologies to you !
Apparently I don't read so well.
The .img_File is supposed to run directly by bootup in the normal power cord out and reset button depressed then power .
Oem recovery is supposed to do the rest
Man! I can make things difficult.
I will give it a try later and report back
Thanks for the patience G!

The developer said, I think, to make a SD card version... Which would then boot up to a temporary twrp.
I was thinking of flashing it via my stock n6 recovery.
You think neither way is possible?
Again, if you can get it into a sdcard loading zip, I will try it.
I doubt it would break my box.
G, did you read the accompanied directions by the builder?
I know it is in Spanish, and would need to be translated.
