I will work on a ROM based on this new release tonight or tomorrow.
Lets see if they fixed frame skipping or if wee have to use a Freaktab developed kernel.

I will do it this afternoon. John from minix is sending a x7 to me, but is not here yet, anyway I will make a zip with the update and hope some of you can test it.

if you make this flashable with root, can you add the cwm included in this tuto (cwm 6 i think) best for our x7, the others have a size problem and cut a lot of text.

a good idea will be
1- a stock rooted wit cwm 6 (in the tuto line up)
2- a stock without root and stock recovery, so full stock, for quick reposition.
3- a lot of cwm roms like Finless, justXBMC, etc..etc but flashables!

cwm is a good way, for customs and stocks.

I assume it means that even with the stock 720p kernel FullHD videos are played back at native resolution without upscaling.

i ve installed the V007 and cant get the root. acess dinied when execute the .bat file

This is hard to believe unless the kernel is 1080P to begin with.

Just got home from work so time to play with this ROM and see what is up.

For the guy wanting all CWM, problem with CWM is it cannot repartition thus you must use a flash tool to do that. Also if there is a new bootloader it cant install that either.

Yes, its intersting. I wonder what they've done? The videos i've tested in 1080p all seem to run smoothly but are they really in true 1080p?

It is impossible to root through adb at the moment as there are "permission denied" notices when trying to.

Very stable Rom so far,not had one freeze or crash,not as silky as the overclocked Roms though for obvious reasons.

They have done very well for the average user in providing a good Rom with smooth video i would say.

I have now looked at this firmware and they have restricted ADB from pushing root tools or allowing apps to root. As always Android security is getting better!

But there is still a way to root the firmware which I just did using ADB. ADB still has root access but only from the shell command line so you must copy the files from sdcard to the proper folders and set permissions MANUALLY! It was easy for me to root this over ADB and took me 2 minutes.

This firmware has some good stuff in it! They have learned from FreakTab devs here!
I see my work in the framework already

Gameloft patch is IN!

I am looking at other things now to see what's new... the change log in fact does not cover everything they did.
