Any advice for a new MK908 owner ?

I bought an imito mx1 like a year ago, piece of crap that constantly rebooted and had extreme heat.

last week i went to geekbuying and saw the tronsmart MK908 at a cheaper price, so i bought it..I havent received it yet. The problem is that after paying i entered this forum and saw many users saying the device overheats too much and reboots, some are doing heat sink mods!, Damn im pissed by the devil on these android devices, my fault...i should had thought that it was cheaper because of something.

any advice on these MK908 devices? is there any firmware that makes the device to overheat less and be more stable? Have you all been doing heatsink mods? with or without a fan?
