    Thanks

    Thanks for your ROM.

I received my tablet two days ago, with a ROM from end july. Every 10 minutes, the screen was bluring and after a few second, I can heard a small noise (tic) and I have to reboot the tablet.

I try to flash it with the last "official" firmware, after installing the drivers on my PC (following your instructions for beginners). Noway, the "official" uprgrade tool did not found my tablet in upgrading mode.

But flashing your ROM was easy and efficient. And I have less freezing, only two, just after I touch the screen.

    Regards

      Great ROM, but Recovery issue?

Thanks for this ROM! Just flashed it this morning, and so far seems great. The only problem I'm having is that I cannot boot into Recovery Mode. Every time I try I end up with a dead Android with a red triangle...
Has anyone else experienced this? Did something go wrong during flashing?
Apart from that, its a great ROM, and definitely snappier than the stock rom that it came with. Thanks again

Is there anybody out there who has a positive review of the m9pro? Seen lots with problems.

found these post on another forum (translated by google)

On M9pro, information sometimes a little mixed probably due to the fact that the model is very recent. The first two batches were proposed, from what I understand, intended primarily for the domestic market with products in beta testing and is being finalized. I hope to see more clearly with the following series of expected shortly. To be continued.
Pipo on M9Pro I almost take action but I will eventually wait. The earliest returns show a self down compared to the m9 (which makes sense since the battery is the same as consumption has increased).

It would appear that pipo aware of the problem preparing a second batch with a slight upgrade of the battery. It is, however, a rumor (if anyone has seen one of these models break the tip of his nose in a shop I am interested).
I think, I should wait for more review or maybe next month.

Some stock recoveries do more than others, but I wouldn't bank of having much functionality. I'm at work, so I can't give you a link, but there is a generic CWM recovery you can try. Just unzip the file and flash the recovery.img in place of the stock recovery in the ROM. You don't have to flash the whole ROM, just uncheck everything except recovery.img.

Now I finally got my new PiPo M9 Pro. Originally I ordered M7 Pro but that was out of stock everywhere.. So I switched to M9 Pro Wifi version.

Tablet looks absolutely amazing compared to price.. Installed this new RileyROM 1.1 and everything seems to be functioning great, multiwindow feature looks good. Camera is rather awful but that was expected.

Wifi reception is acceptable but could do better, my old HTC Desire Z can connect to wifi a bit further than this tablet. Screen looks great (what you would expect for 1920x1200)

No problems so far except one crash with Angry Birds Star Wars HD. The game runs very smooth though, no lag at all. Let's see if that crash was just a onetimer.

I believe I read somewhere quite some time ago, that there were some issues with rk3188 and that particular game. Quite possibly a fix out there though - worth a google if the crashes keep on coming.

                      OK, I'm uploading now.

This is based on the firmware dated 8/7/2013 on the official Pipo site.

I downloaded both versions wifi and 3g, but there was corruption in the wifi only image. I tried several times, several different ways to unpack the wifi image without success. So there will be only one version...for both wifi and 3g using the 3g version...it will work on both tablets.

When the upload is finished, in about 1 hour from this post, I will start a new thread. I will post a link to the new thread here.

I have flashed your new ROM, but the M9pro does not start.
The riley-logo comes, but then is nothing.

Can you check the files please? I downloaded twice, same issue. Then i go back to to 1.1.

With the 1.1 everything looks fine, except the WLAN.

Here's one thing you might try.

Open the 1.1 ROM and copy over the parameter size you are trying to use to the 1.2 ROM and see if it flashes OK.

Thanks this worked for me. The M9pro runs smoothly. But the wifi - problem hasn't changed
10m through air and then, the signal disappeared.

Sounds like you might have a antenna problem. Sometimes they don't get soldered in right.

                                Just sayin'
