No, it would need ported over. that link just shows where the code is for those buttons

He means the shortcut buttons on beelink remote but they are hard coded in their firmware (services.jar)

This ROM has support for the three most popular IR remotes. Is yours not working?

This box (even the Ultimate) doesn't have Widevine L1, and so Netflix for Android TV won't play video. However, you can side load the non-ATV version and get SD content.

Yes, some apps designed for mobile (non-ATV) won't work in the Android TV environment, and there's not always ATV equivalents in the ATV Play Store. If you want to run on a mobile (non-ATV) environment, you should check out the Stock and Nano variants of this ROM.

And yes, the OTA update (.zip file) is the same release packaged so that it can be updated from Settings->About->System Update, stock recovery, or TWRP.
