The prevention of Google Play Store from updating is a "feature" of the Shiningworth OEM firmware. I haven't messed with it, but I understand that tillaz87 has fixed it on his custom ROM.

Of course, you can always manually upgrade it by downloading the latest version from APKMirror, renaming the file Tubesky.apk, and replacing the old version (/system/priv-app/Tubesky) in TWRP.

Yeah, I'll still probably do at least one more Nougat update. I haven't seen an Oreo build for S912 (q201 reference board) yet.

Yes, it should be. BootcardMaker is a little temperamental for me, though, and I would recommend USB Burning Tool (if you have the cable).

No, we need WideVine L1 for that, which is flashed at the factory.

Try the version for the Vorke Z6, which is almost identical and has a front display.

Sounds like we just need to add the latest Xiaomi MiBox keylayout files to /usr/keylayout. You can probably do it yourself in TWRP and let me know if it works.

This is great image. Everything is working excellent on my tap pro box except front display. I extracted vfd.display.conf from original image of box, so i am asking you is it possible to add it somehow to this nexus image ?
