T95Z Plus: "OK" button not working on keyboard and remote with certain apps

Hello. New to the site and forums.
This box came with Android 7.1.1. I haven't tried many apps, but two already that load but won't recognize my keyboard clicks are "Speedtest" and "Clean Master". The Center D-Pad 'OK' button does nothing when trying to 'Begin Test' on speedtest app with the mouse cursor hovered over it. I tried the 'OK' on the remote that comes with the box, and 'OK' on my ipazzport Bluetooth remote with touchpad. When I press 'OK' on my Bluetooth keyboard on 'Begin Test' the mouse cursor disappears. I also tried to 'Begin Test' by one tap on the touchpad, double tapping the touchpad, the left and right mouse key, and the 'Enter' button. I'm able to use the 'OK' button in other apps like Kodi, YouTube, and opening apps on the launcher screen.
On this forum, I did find an answer to the "Enter" button not working. I changed Key 28 from DPAD_CENTER to ENTER in Root Explorer app. Whenever I used Chrome and Firefox, after I typed a URL into the address bar, 'Enter' didn't take me to the website. It did nothing.
I already factory reset the box once, and this didn't make any changes with the 'OK' button.
    Hopefully there is a solotion.

My mate has same problem. 6.0 works great but 7.1 is crap. I am about to talk him through flashing to 6.0.

I don't understand why they sell these boxes that have all these issues with the new firmware. If customers are sent the same firmware that your friend and I have, will they experience the same issue with the 'OK' button? Was hoping to get a fix through a firmware update, but no one responded to my post. There wasn't an OTA update. I'm very new to these android boxes, and I wasn't sure how to flash it with 6.0. I sent it back about 2 weeks ago.

My mate got one from UK seller that was advertised with 6.0 but had 7.1 which is crap so he got refund. I had got one from China a few weeks ago that had 6.0 on it so we ordered from same chap. But this one now has 7.1 on. Instead of faffing about posting to China I decided to research flashing to 6.0. I'd already flashed a crappy V88 rockchip that had 5.1 on it to 6.0 and it was straight forward. So I am going to talk my mate through flashing the T95Z. No other option. If he bricks it so be it. But it is quite easy to flash once you have everything in place.
