Am i doing something wrong with upgrading?

    Hello,

I can't upgrade my GT1. Maybe i'm doing something wrong? I am using the usb to usb cable. Running USB burning tool until the firmware has loaded. Then press start and then i am trying to do put a small think in the hole on the back and then put the usb cable in the beelink. Nothing happens, i also don't feel the button in the hole is clicking, while the needle in deep enough inside it. I don't have the power adapter plugged. Do i have to? It worked before so i have no idea why it's not working now. Like i said i can't hear any click. Hopefully someone can help me out.

    Thanks in advance

You should feel the button hole move and click.

I once had a box where the button had become misaligned and had to open the box to get at it.

One of the guys over at the Beelink GT1 forums posted this link, which is for a different model but the same procedure.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8chkgcfcwQ

It does sound however as if you are following the correct procedure.

The other option is to try the Burn Card Maker method, where you use an SD card to flash, no cable required.

@ gefattern Thanks a lot for your help and advice but i still can't make it work. I just can't hear any click and i tried 3 different things to try to make it click.
@Bleusmanuk Also thanks for your help and advice.May i ask how you opened the box? If i can't make it work then i will try the Burn Card Master method. One more question. It's correct that i'm not using the power supply when i try to upgrade it, right? Thanks again!

Hi dear, First, when you press on the reset button with a bin , you hear a sound when you successfully press on it.
Second, You need to Run as Administrator but not directly open the burning tool.

Thanks for your help. I think the whole problem is that i don't hear any click. No matter what i try. I guess it's broken or something

The box that I opened was not the GT1 but something similar, so can't tell you how to open it.

But as you can see from this post, where there is a tear down that somebody has managed to do so and they may be in a good position to advise.

I opened the box and i seems to miss that part and i think another part . At least for me there's no option to click. What a mess that missing part(s)

I would not be sending that photo to the vendor that you bought the box from for their comments as if it's advertised as being there, then you have a right for it to be.

If it was there before though, then I'm guessing it has broken and come out.

Having said all that though, the time and effort to get a replacement might not be worth the hassle, so at least you still have the Burn Card Maker option available.

I guess the whole box is damaged now. It doesn't seems to work anymore. When i plu in the power the led goes on but that's it. Everything stays black. Might be related to the missing part. Since i was trying to put a pick in the whole to make it click it might have damage something on the mainboard since the part to make it click was never there.

I am also not sure if it's worth to send it back. I read something about unbricking and short circuit something but i have no clue which pins i have to short circuit and i have no idea how to chort ciruit the pins since i had never heard of it. I did do some reading and it seems that the devices that gor unbricked had all wrong firmware or something went wrong with flashing the firmware. In my case, the firmware was working before i started to flash with the tooth pick thing that was never inside my box. So i wonder if mine is bricked. The led is working when i am powering it on.

I downloaded the original 1.11 firmware and used that as the image file with card burn maker. Then after it was created i put the sd card in the box and put the power on but nothing happens. The light goes on but the screen stays black.
