What cover and SD-card for Pipo M6 ?

Hello all,

I'm the fresh owner of a Pipo M6 and I'm looking for a case. Do you have any advise which one is good? I've seen cases which have to be glued to the back of the tablet and some with a total surrounding. Also on Pipomall are some covers, but I'm curious for your experiences.

The second question is about the SD-card. What speed should I choose. As I'm new to Pipo I don't know what the maximum transfer rate of the internal SD card reader is. I can buy a Class 10 card, but when the Pipo can only transfer at the speed of Class 4 it's no use.

Wonder if any of the ipad cases fit. And if it support 64 GB cards.

I think non of the iPad cases will fit because of the position of the camera, buttons and plugs. I've seen different types of covers and am anxious which one is the best to have.

About the card I want to know what is better, take a large one (eg 64GB if it works) which is not the fastest or take the fastest one but little smaller.

Keep in mind, if you go with a 64gb card - your file system options will be limited. AFAIK, these tablets don't support exFAT, and FAT32 doesn't support partitons above 32gb (technically it can be done, but not sure it will work with the tablet though). The tablet support NTFS, CWM and most android phones don't. Ext3/4 is always an option, but quite a hassle to make windows read/write it.

My suggetion; For good alround support - go with a good class10 32gb card. It will limit file size to 4gb, but mkverge gui will easily solve the more common problems there by file splitting

Thank you for the SD-card explain. Does anyone have an idea what the maximum transfer rate is to the SD-card? It's no use to buy a 45MB/s if the transfer rate is only 10MB/s.

Yes, I've seen this cover on ****. On most pictures it looks very cheap, but not on yours. I'll go for that then.

My tests suggest the internal internal micro SD card reader barley exceeds the class 6 standard with my Samsung 32GB class 10 card.

My card is limited to 10 MB per second write so I couldn't confirm the benefits of an expensive card.

It's just for storage of pictures, some music and other files like ebooks.

Unless you pay up very well, for pro photo-cards (wich rarely are available in microsd anyway) - 10-12megaBYTE/second whitout taking the card out and putting it in a high quality reader - is a very decent speed from a class10 card. Speedtests and theoretical speeds differ vastly from real-life use performance.

I have 1 similar to this, but the front is a universal "catch" for 9.7" tablet. Not using it cos it is really bulky.

I have to say M6 is lighter and slimmer than I initially thought, and I like to keep it that way.

It may add a little weight but its the same height and width as the tablet.

Personally, I think its really worth having a good case for the protection and it makes a great stand too.

I also purchased a second M6 3G combo package (32 GB card and case) directly from a company in China via AliExpress. They delivered excellent service, a standard-fare 32 GB SD (probably class 4) card, and a really nice all-black case similar to the one above, and all for only $333 shipped. However, where the case on **** was softer, not quite as stiff w/r to the material in between the leather (or whatever that covering is), and has a decent stand setup different from the one above, the one that came with my combo package was much stiffer (which is good) and the M6 slid in easier. It's really a tight fit on the **** one.
