    How do I backup stock ROM before doing anything?

    I am going to attempt an ATV (Android TV) port for my Vega S89, but I need to back up the system, kernel, boot and everything for it so that should something go wrong, I can revert back. I used to have a Rockchip device and there was a way to backup those devices using Windows and the Rockchip tool. But I don't know where to start with AMLogic devices. Can I get some help?

    You would need TWRP recovery installed.

    I dare say that there might be one somewhere but this thread might be an initial pointer.
