    Problem with MK809III

    Hi!
First I would like to thank sam321 for his video skipping kernel fix.
Secondly my wifi can't find any connections with this kernel (new AP6210 no oc 720p) (MAC Address was detected so i'm not sure that it's a problem with the drivers).

Note that I have the AP6210 chip.
This is the one that I've ordered: http://www.****.com/itm/MK809III-3-B...E:L:OU:GB:3160

Currently I'm using this rom: http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php.../#.UgAfM5XfqUk

I've tried a few roms and it seems that my wifi worked only with this one (the original):

    I'd appreciate your help.

i have the same device (mk809iii new ap chip), i flashed neomode's rom for the mk802iv which is identical in hardware to our device. Afterwards i flashed the no oc videofix kernel by sams and its working without flaws at the moment. BT and Wifi work, and no video stuttering. Perhaps you can try that..

      Thanks for your reply,
But I've already tried this one.
As I remember still had issues with wifi, but the movies didn't work at all.
When I played a movie the screen got mess and nothing has been seen, nothing could solve this except disconnecting the power cable and reboot.
(I think that someone here had the same issue and he post a picture).
Maybe it's a problem with the TV... but really weird that AP6210 kernel doesn't work, I've seen the AP6210 print on the chip.
      Maybe it's a ROM problem?
Only on the stock rom networks were found, so.. what's the difference between them?
      Thanks.

Maybe I am the person you mentioned. Yes ,there is some problem with playing movies in NEOmode ROM.

I dont think it is the TV problem, I tested three TV( sony, pannasonic, 15' tv(diy BY my self modify from NOTEbook

Stock ROM is working good ,if you like to try( But it can't use SAM'S overclock ROM,It is the reason why I don;t like it)

            Hi Howard,
I also tried with rikomagic's last rom and connections also weren't found.
Movies also stutter without the kernel fix.
As I mentioned earlier, I could find wifi connections only with this stock rom: http://yadi.sk/d/T9LLU1wH5tZRa (4.2_mk809III_101j20130603)
This is weird because MAC Address was detected, and it tries to find network connections but nothing happens or found.
            Thanks.

first of all,the wifi antenna is really not good, after I opened the stick several times, the signal is very bad.,sometimes it cann't connect to router even very near( 1 meter far).So I replaced the antenna with a pcb antenna ),And now the signal is full.

It is strange that if your stick with new wifi,So the rom must be later than July,2013.
I think the stcik MK802IV(MK809III....) with Ap6210 are sold after July,2013.

I received the stick with 4.1.1 rom (seems to be the same one that I post).
I know that the wifi is really bad in the stick but even if the stick near the router it can't find any connections (with stock rom near the router, it has full signal).

This kernel solved the problems for me:
                  Kernel-LightakeMK809III-all-rom-4.2.2-all-work-(ver2)
                  at http://yadi.sk/d/T9LLU1wH5tZRa
Video looks good and there is a connection.
Is there a way to apply this kernel to the stock rom?
                  (4.2_mk809III_101j20130603)
                  Thanks.

EDIT: I succeeded by flashing the kernel.img and the boot.img together on the stock rom...
                  (The stock has only boot.img)

                      Hi ruff-stuff,
You should also flash the boot.img, the kernel.img itself won't change anything (because the stock rom has the kernel inside its boot.img).
Take the boot.img from here http://www.freak-tab.de/neomode/neot...b_20130615.zip
Remember to flash only the boot.img from this zip and the kernel ver2 (that you've already flashed..)
                      Tell me if it worked.
