I just received mine today. I got 16245 for Antutu score, and have tested Netflix, but have not had time to do anything else. Wifi signal is strong (using 5Ghz) in an area where my Xbox has weak reception. I'll post more video information later as I get it.

Thank you geekbuying for your review!

Grats! looking forward to hear more from you. Do you think video is smooth or is it same as all other RK3188 devices?

I have successfully rooted and played a few games which work pretty well.

XBMC works fine with libstagefright code in 720p but 1080p is like all other RK3188 devices. It is absolutely horrendous. When GeekBuying completes the 1080p kernel hopefully XBMC will be up to par. Currently my Pivos XIOS DS and Ouya play 1080p content much better than the Neo X7.

I have not tried to flash any of the custom ROMs out there for any of the other RK3188 devices.

Thx for report! I guess we have to wait for a custom rom to get smooth video then. Can you test Archos Video Player? I love that app and i use it alot. It is very easy to setup and automatically downloads covers and info and it looks very nice.

Trhuster, I installed the free version of Archos Video Player so I can't hear DTS or anything, but the 720p playback is great. 1080p still struggles but it is not near as bad as XBMC and is almost watchable.

Can someone with an x7 test this ROM? It's supposed to fix jitter. Curious to hear if it will improve 720, 1080, and/or XBMC performance.

You have to install Archos all codec pack free, don't forget to open it once then sound should work. I can stream 1080p 15gig .mkv with MK 808 but i use usb>rj45 dongle. Video is almost perfekt, just a little stuttering when panoramic scenes and fast zooms ect.

For me it is not diffrent from .mkv 720p around 3 mbit bitrate and .mkv 720p 10 mbit bitrate. Same amount of stuttering, i also have this on Netflix and use finless bob rom 2.1.

                Thx for feedback.

Tried installing the ROM but it didn't work for me. I am sure it is user error. Once I get a response from the other thread I will update all.

I read other thread and you wrote that you pressed update? Dont press update, you shall press restore button and then it should work.

PS! dont forget and try Archos with codec pack when you have some time.

                      Trhuster,

I updated that thread again. I tried using the Update button and still no lock.

I downloaded the Codec pack and it indeed plays sound now. The application works pretty well actually but in 1080p it is still pretty choppy. Once I get one of those 1080\VSync roms to install I will try it again.
