MK908 dead while flashing. Looking for Dr. Frankenstein...

    Hi there,
Anyone here who can help me reanimating my MK908?
It died while i tried to upgrade to Finless1.5.
When plugging in, the FW Utility finds the stick and i (sometimes!) can clear the memory.
Then it counts onwards to the end and tells me everything is ok.
But when trying to flash the ROM it throws an error.

Here are the logfiles from the ROM_Flash_Tool_137.exe i used:
    Erase (Error)
    Code:

SO i tried with, what i think, is the factory ROM.
      No success.
Tried the RK Batch Tool too. But it says in its logfile:
      Code:
17:34:36 265 Rockchip Batch Tool v1.6.8.1 start run
      17:35:05 031 **********Upgrade Start Total<1>**********

      17:35:05 031 <Layer 10-1> Check Chip Success

There is no different behaviour when using any other ROM.
      I always got this
      'Error: Downloading IDB failed'
      message.

Looked like something couldn't withstand the heat inside the stick, as i would have modified this at next.

      For flashing i tried
the 'ROM_Flash_Tool_137.exe' coming with Finless 1.5,
the 'RKBatchTool.exe'. came with Finless too and
      the 'RKAndroidTool.exe' (V1.37) wich i got from 'MK908-android.4.2.2.jjhmod.v1.3'.
The jjhmod seems like the one that was at first on the stick.

Re: MK908 dead while flashing. Looking for Dr. Frankenstein...

Try a different usb wire, a different usb port (it must be a 2.0 port), try other pc too if you can.

you can try and short the pins on the NAND
          tut

Edit depending on the PCB you may need to short the pins directly on the chip

I suggest short the nand pins like the last solution. If you try to flash your device in mask mode with bad wire, usb connection or bad drivers you will got a Perma brick.
