I am looking for the latest firmware for the MeCool HM8 gold tv box? Anyone have any ideas? Or maybe a custom rom?

i dont have that Box , i only searched FOR YOU for Links and i dont test them , you need the FW .

Did you contact and ask the Seller or Company . I dont know but maybe there is a possible

working CostumRom , but that can only say one of the AML/ROM Pros . good luck

So I actually found another working & updated FW for the HM8, the KM5 TV Box firmware.

So I actually found another working & updated FW for the HM8, the KM5 TV Box firmware.

Works with HM8 via the Amlogic Burning Tool.

I just updated my KM5 with that firmware and now it's running a lot better. With the previous firmware, which came installed on the box, there were freezes at times. It worked fine for playing videos, but for example after I running an internet speed test with the Speedtest app, when I pressed the back button or Home on the remote, it would take some time before exiting from the app. With this new firmware, when I press the back button it exits immediately.
