MXQ Pro 905 Problem
When I turn on my box, I always have to go to Advanced Settings and connect to my internet. When I switch off and switch on later, I have to do the same thing again. When I turn on Settings, Network, it says connect to wifi, but I can't unless I go to Advanced Settings. Any Suggestions ? I just signed up tonight. Thanks.Tags: None

Thanks for your reply. When I turn on my box there is no Internet connection. When i go to Settings - Network, it says WiFi not connected, Ethernet not connected. I click on WiFi and it says connect to WiFi. When I click ON and go back it says WiFi not connected even though I connected it. I then have to go to Other Settings and to WiFi. When I do Wifi is in the OFF position, so I turn it ON after a few attempts, then go back and back till I get the opening page and it works okay when I turn off the box and back on again I go through the same process to get a connection. The connection is from a Netgear WiFi extender, would that be the cause ? Modem/ Router connection is weak as the box is in the bedroom and the Modem/Router is in the living room. When I do get a connection with the extender the signal is 100%. Sorry for the long winded question. I only bought the box recently. It is an S905X. I have a Minix U1 with no issues, Thanks again.

There may be a few possibilities.
If you are using Android 6, then it might be worth enabling legacy DHCP (Developer options, Use Legacy DHCP client) as this has been known to correct some WiFi connection issues (see a generic guide such as this if developer options are not shown as it's not enabled by default https://tinyurl.com/y9jv8dla )
Might also be worth seeing if you can connect the box up in the living room, direct to the router, bypassing the extender, just to eliminate any issues there.
It could also be a potential firmware glitch.

I think I found the answer to my problem. I went to Settings > Power Switch Definitions Changed setting from : Shutdown to Suspend and Resume and it has worked fine so far. I guess Shutdown means all settings. It now starts up and connects to my WiFi. Thanks Bluesmanuk for your interest.
