Looking To Un-brick my Android Tv Box (M8 V8_8 20150923)

Hi guys and girls at freaktab.

I'm a new member and would like some help recovering my Android TV Box M8. The board number (M8 V8_8 20150923)

This device is what you guys call bricked. Problem started when box was powered up and wouldn't pass splash screen so tried factory reset through AV Port with no results. Next option was to re-flash with what I thought was correct firmware. So installed files to the SD card and ran on Android TV Box M8, which looked like it was working. Android started recovery with big green tick once it had finished. Waited for 15min just in case it was still doing something. After that pulled power cord then waited few minutes or so before re-power. Plugged power back in to find there was no lights, bricked device no power.

Started googling fix and came across this site where I found this post with instructions.

After following instructions I now have power when sd card inserted and splash screen Vander Box showing.

Thinking there must be another firmware that might work.

Are there any tips in recovering box hardware specification when device is bricked? To determine correct firmware.

Think box could be M8 Amlogic S802 Quad Core Cortex-A9 but cant be sure.

Hi although these board have same model number they don't appear to be same series one being M8 and the other M8S, also M8 board is blue and M8S is green?

Not that I know much about these things.

Could someone point out from photo in post one where the Broadcom chip is located.

If you feel they are the same please move if it helps other users in future.

does your Box have WifiChip BCM4335/AP6335 ??? , if not it can stay here ??? ,

Hi chipset appears to be KM3208070, had to google location.

Any ideas on how to locate working firmware for box? I've been searching all over internet with no success.

Or other O/S that can run Kodi.
