Khadas running on Enybox X1/ EM95X TV Box

While doing an experiment to re~brick my box, I have somehow managed to get Khadas to load and run on my Enybox X1/ EM95X. This box was previously running Android 6.0, and is now running 7.1.1. This box runs an S905X chip. The steps I took are as follows.... I opened USB burning tool and loaded a firmware img for an XGODY pro box that runs an S912 Amlogic chip. Actually the file is for an RBOX Pro file name- aml_7.1_s912_q9377-RBOXPRO_KDMC_mac-20170510. The flash error-ed at about 7% which I sort of expected it would. I hit stop, and I left it hooked up and then imported Vim_Nougat_Root_170612 into USB burning tool, and hit start again. It finished loading the file to 100% I have loaded the Khadas file before to this box and it just boot looped for infinity, and gave me a bricked box. I was able to get it unbricked in a previous post. I hooked the box up to the tv expecting another boot loop screen, and it came up with the Khadas logo as expected. And then it went to swirling android letters, and then to a beautiful background with android icons. I figured I would have no internet connection, but I went to settings, and networking/ wifi, and I'll be damned if it didn't show my available wifi connections! I am not certain that everything will remain stable, but so far so good!

I got Kodi up and running, and everything is running seamlessly. No audio/ visual performance issues. No buffering, or lag issues. Wonderful! Oh, I should mention I am using a Rii remote for controlling the box. Factory one does not work with it at this time. Okay, I was playing around a bit and decided to click on Super_SU and it said it needed to be updated, so I did. It then required to be rebooted, so I did so. Upon rebooting, it got back to the boot img, and wouldn't load back into the main screen. I followed my own steps to load Khadas again through USB Burning tool, and it is working once again without any issues. It works!

      Cool.

You might just have opened a door to a whole new field of experimentation.

bluesmanuk, I don't even know how this combo worked. I know it does though, as I have done it 3 times successfully. It,s working flawlessly also.

Yes, the logic says no but clearly a path of some kind that does work, so might inspire others to try with other boxes too.

Well I don't have much time to experiment during the week, with work, overtime, chores around the house....... I noticed I only have 1 functioning usb port of the 2. The OTG port is the one that doesn't work for reasons unknown to me. superceleron would probably know how to address this issue I'm guessing? I would love to know how to import a remote control file as well. I do have some functioning keys that work, but not as displayed on the silkscreen layout of the remote. So It definitely has ir functionality/ capability. Will update further info as I research my options. Am thinking maybe I can beak it down with amlogic customization tool and add my remote possibly. IDK for sure.
