Libreelec - Internal install buffering

Wondering if someone can help. I installed librelec+Kodi to my internal nand (MECOOL) after using it for a while from my microSD card. I now seem to be experiencing a lot of buffering from my SMB shares. If I boot back to my microSD card, there is hardly any buffering and it's really quick when skipping through a large mkv file. Any ideas?

i think your internal Memory is slower , SDCard is faster ,

I think I might take your advice and just stay on the SDCard, but isn't it the same memory if its running internal vs running from the SD card?

not sure , but from SD , the OS stays external and more Mem. can be used , ???? .
