They come off easy. You will need to clean the compound after removing. If it has any.
Didn't even notice there's a hookup for a fan inside. I'm gonna have to work on hiding the wire and wiring the fan inside.

A Raspberry Pi3 fan and heat sink kit might be the ticket.

Did you replace the original heatsink, and what's the size of that fan you're using?

It is nicer if you hide power cable inside.
    I know. lol
I just did this and testing the unit for now. Will be playing terrarium for hours to see if it holds up.
I have a bluetooth mini keyboard so I can hide the box behind the tv.

This fan is usb driven. Hooked it up to the secret USB port.
Temperature is around 42*C after an hour or so.

Thanks chenrp. I carefully peeled it off the top case. Now I'm in the process of cutting out an opening for the hidden usb's. Next thing to do is buy some copper plate or maybe rip off my old vaio's heat sink (and possibly a fan). Never thought I would have to do all this to keep the heat down. Where'd you get that wide plate?

Edited: The casing is really annoying. It was a bit difficult to pry it open, but it is a lot more difficult to put it back together. Any ideas for a custom casing? Was looking through some bread board but they all look hideous. I'm not yet ready to use my desktop casing as the pc is still working.

In Antutu i noticed max 46 once...
In games it stays around 40 and in youtube below 40.
In LibreELEC while playing a 1080p h264 movie, the temp stays below 35...
Active cooling should be better anyway...
wow so the fan mod reduces up to 46 degrees.. cool...
