Brick possible? can I repair it?

Hello everyone, my name is Rick. I am new to the site and I was told this will be the best place to come and ask for help. Hoping anyone can help me with my dilemma.

A friend of mine gave me the following box ( Quad Core Android 4.4 Stream Multimedia Player Model F6)

However, it only worked for one day. The light was blue and is no longer working. It just stay on red light. Does no load.

I have always been good with android phones and PC but I am extremely new to this stream box. My friend does not recall from where he bought it or how to fix the problem.

I am thinking is a firmware problem. Maybe bricked, hopefully soft brick and I can easily just install android somehow and then install the apks that I will like.

Does anyone have a solution to my dilemma?

Hmm..
a tvbox doesn't just stop working...So, my guess : your poweradaptor has failed
( yet still provides enough power to power the led.. But not enough to boot Android )

Try another poweradaptor...

Try a power usb most will boot fine from the usb power adapter so give that a shot before going getting new power adapter.

1. I want to apologize for the second post. I did not noticed that my first one got posted since when I clicked on SUBMIT, it gave me a PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAY, so I thought I never posted it.

2. Yes thats my box.

3. The guide requires a USB OTG port. I dont have one. Never got one with the box, my friend does not have one. Now, when I check online, all I find are Micro USB OTG. Neither the box or my computer have a Micro USB connection. I tried connecting the box with a USB cable to my PC, but it does not find the device. Any other way?

Power USB? I am sorry, what exactly is this?

I noticed that within this box it does not have a designated USB OTG. I have directly plugged it using an USB cable to each host. Host 1 also powers the box but it still shows red. 2 thru 4 does not do anything. Neither port the computer recognize. Also I noticed that one is required to have an USB OTG. This box does not have a Micro nor does my computer, and they are the only USB OTG I can find online. Any other way to have the android tool detecting my box?

hello friend, if possible. what you need is to download the firmware, download the rktoolbatch tool or android tool for rockchip, after that you have to open the tvbox and make a short between the two pins that are next to the processor.
