This box was accidently fed 12 volts.
I am technical , but, havent got a clue of the power supply input configuration of the box,
Does it have a regulator? A fuse, fusable resistor, or some kind of protection?
Any idea of the input circuit?
hmm..
well...that's not good
does it still run on 5v 2a DC ?
if not
try using the USB port to feed 5v to it...
(if I disable power cord..tvbox keeps running from external powered usb hub 5v 3a)
if that fails.. ?
thanks
This is strange!
The client said that he fed it 12 volts by mistake, but, in my workshop, on powering on with 5 volts, the box was totally dead, no blue light! I am very sure that the plug was fully inserted!
Some minutes later, just before thinking of having a look at the hardware for possible signs of failures, especially, electrolytics, the box came to life, and remained working ever since, without doing nothing!
However, I am still looking for web resources on hardware issues!
