I bricked my H96 Pro+ and I'm unable to locate the stock ROM. I've looked everywhere.
The rom is:
q201_9377-userdebug 7.1.2 NHG47L 20170830 test-keys

it's the 3GB 32GB variant

I managed to revive it using some other ROMs but none is 100% compatible. The closest I got was the TANIX_TX8-Max, which has a totally different look. But it seems to have some bugs with audio passthrough. I also looked at the Beelink GT1 which seem to have a variant with the same hardware, but no 7.x ROM yet.

Bottom line, I want to install the exact ROM it came with, which seem to be the best one for it.

I also opened a support ticket with gearbest for that.

anything that starts with aml_7.1_s912 mac is not good for you
so there is no rom for you you only need q201_9377-userdebug and not aml s912 mac

EXACTLY. I don't trust a chinese rooted android device so I wanted to install supersu so that I can unroot or check permissions etc. BAM! insta-brick.

so for the last 3-4 days I'm trying to find original rom. anyway I made a sick case for it because other roms were making cpu run at 80C, now it's 38 but not software-wise not stable.

It says it supports Qualcomm QCA9377, and if I understand correctly, it's the q201_9377

so far only 2 crashes

I think it happens after I use google play but that would be pure speculation. Should I not do that and always install apk? Anyway without the fan mod, it was running at 70C (~170F), after installing the fan it now runs around ~33C (~90F) even after the antutu benchmark.

I've used external powered usb multi adapter so that usb fan and the other peripherals won't overload the player.

I've left a 1080p x265 HEVC 10bit AAC 5.1 movie in repeat and it will run run until morning. If I find it running in the morning I will never ever ever ever update my rom

Anyway here are the screenshots, if someone can verify if my ... F#$>£##½£$£ kodi crashed while I was writing..

I tried all the possible rom. you're wasting your time. my H96 Pro + q201_9377 is in the trash (bricks) by installing Magicsee IRON + which was well q201_9377-userdebug do not have fun installing any rom. it is in the trash directly your (MAC IS 0) you do not have a license mac

I have no problem with cooling but I took a photo of the aida64 screen when I got it and I see that mine was indeed q201

I talked to the seller on **** and he said he got his rom from here. he justs buy and sells stuff so has no idea about technical details. don't trash it yet, maybe somebody will compile an absolute stock android rom. meanwhile I will read the kodi crash logs. I'm a linux sysadmin so maybe I can see what others can't.
