Hello,

after testing many kind of firmware on my stick MK809IV 4K, with sk hynix eMMC found this and like to share it with other for best performance for this stick

FIRMWARE from MXQ PRO 4K Android 6.0.1
1- download the .img and flash it with usb burning tool

positive points:
1- full root
2- smooth fast, no freeze at all
3- pre- installed Kodi 17.0 with complete package you can update it to the last 17.4 with no problem via self or store.
4- no navigation or down status bar ,you can change the systemui.apk with one had ( i used one from T5X) because the only can hide and after reboot it show again and it had screenshot )

Only one and its easy to solve, the wifi workfine and fast. but after you plug the device out from wall sockt for long time, and you turn it on again the wifi need time to log again to yours router.
( i changed on my device the file 62x2 ) with root explorer and give right permission 0755 -0644

Blue LED power indicator will turn on only if you put the device to shutdown or sleep. ( at normal operation it will be off )

100% better than any firmware belong to those devices with SK hynix chip

The problema that i have is the wifi connection... the wireless connections works very well very near of the router but if the device is at 10 meters altough the signal is very good, the wireless does not work well

sorry i dont know about this... any way,, the img from 19.02.2017 round 1.700 MB and i had before modified it to rmy use as i mentioned at my first post...remove all GOOGLE and WN Japanese, Miracast, DLNA, so its very Slim img. added SystemUI which it had down status bar to kill Task and screen shoot. added my personal Hosts collection around 250MB to kill all adds. added my most used apk. like last KODI 17.5 and EX root. reboot ..

use USB burning tool... mark force erase all.. its best Rom Slim. you can add any other need with it after you flash it.. enjoy

I have just tried it... but the same result

The wireless connection is very very very slow when the device is not at the side of the router !! I can't achive watch a movie from a network local drive for example.

But the signal is very good.

i never used local network steaming, I used wifi to watch 1080P HD in kodi no problem and 4K from youtube too.. maybe my hosts file blocked some how your house streaming or filtering it.
1- try SpeedTest apk install and check your download via wifi.
2-replace the hoses file in system/etc with one nothing inside it only one line
127.0.0.1 localhost

3 - this firmware from Original had delay at wifi connection when the device was out of electric plug long time... i write it too. but few restart every things work fine and stable

if you have same problem with your original firmware and this one , mean the problem at your router

by the way to achieve good work for such stick, look what i did on my.. i use it always to test Firmware too and other watching porpoise
i build external Antenna , took it from old PC PCI wifi card, now all signal round 300 m i can recieve their signal and show at wifi settings
put cooler sink .and connect external reset key for easy way to use
whi care on the look when it became worth
