    Please help with MK809III...

    hello!
before i start, I used the search function and read TONS of threads, and still i don't understand, and really in the need of help.

    I just got my MK809III from **** (http://www.****.com/itm/MK809-III-Ro...vip=true&rt=nc)

1.WiFi is REALLY slow (when it even connects), i am about 3-5 meters from the Access Point (it's in another room).
Trying to download an app from the Play Store or even opening it is a PAIN, it just takes forever.
Running SpeedTest i get Really low scores, that do not resemble my home connection.
I get "Good" signal (2 out of 3 lines), and menu settings says "54Mbps".
I tried to use my Galaxy S3 as an Access Point and put it RIGHT on the MK809III, WiFi signal was "exellent", and it worked, but still REALLY slow.
Just transfering an app inside the LAN from my PC was MAX 17\kbps (most of the time alot slower).

Also tried Bluetooth internet Tethering, opened it on my device, and on the MK i did "use this device's internet"... nothing happened.

    Is there anything to do?

    2. XBMC works bad, playing video, ANY video, doesn't matter what quality, stutters like crazy, impossible to watch.

As far as i know i'm on 'stock' rom 4.2.2... (i don't think its rooted)
when i get home i will post the exact build number and kernel version.
I don't understand what roms\kernels are for this device (im not sure what exactly i even have)
Please any advice will really help me, i feel like i just threw a lot of money to the garbage
If needed i will open the device and tell any details you need.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    EDIT:

    model number: rk31sdk
    Android Version: 4.2.2
    Kernel Version: 3.0.36+ hotack@adminroot-X9DRL-3F-iF #49

            Hello,

Your Pictures are broken, but i can help you.
Look in the Serial Number of the Device.
If it has a Date with 201307 you have a new one.
If you got an older Date it is an old one.

thanks alot! i will bother you with a few more questions (beg your pardon :P)

Is the weak wifi issue always be like this?
If so, I have the option to return this device to the seller and get a refund\another one, Should I?

And as a first time rom flasher, is there some guide to flash? (my rom is not rooted and i do not have cwm as far as i know)

I just dont want to ruin this device...

                thanks alot!

if you want good WiFi performance this android stick is not for you, so return it, it is that bad the manufacturer changed what WiFi chip they used to solve the problem

no matter what i do, i cant seem to get into flash mode.
i tried connecting then pressing, i tried pressing then connecting (both ports), tried with power cable connected, tried without one.

should it be connected to the adapter\tv?
