How can I upload this firmware OTA update for device that is being detected by USB Burning Tool but not starting when plugged to TV?

Well, you need a burn package (.img file) for the device, which unfortunately we don't yet have. I was able to successfully flash a burn package from the TX3 Mini, but that didn't make it past the boot animation.

NOTE: If you downloaded the OTA update I posted last night, don't install it. There was something wrong with it, but I haven't been able to troubleshoot yet.

Note that Nexus custom ROMs (Nano, Stock and TV Stock variants) are now available for the M8S PRO W.

I'll admit that I'm surprised that the user interface is actually quite usable, even running at full HD. Many of the other Amlogic S905W devices like the Tanix X3 mini have bumped down to 720p just to reduce the load on the Mali-450 GPU, but VideoStrong has managed quite nicely without making that compromise. While it still feels slower than the M8S PRO+, it's not as painful as I thought it would be.
