Which Adroid TV firmware and how to burn multiple img files ?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and Android TV in general. And I need some help.

    1 - Which firmware to chose ?

I've bought a H96Pro+ 3/32GB at Gearbest, following the links here. I'd like an Android TV and not a regular Android and I can't decide between :

    - http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...roidtv-version

The 1st seems more recent but has been posted earier. Plus I don't know about this 9377 chipset. So question is : which one should I choose ?

    2 - How to flash ?

In either case, I've downloaded the files and the install instructions state "Use usb burning tool....". So I've downloaded the software as well as Birn Card Maker BTW, because I don't have an appropriate cable for Burning Tool but I have a SD. In both formware archives, there are multiplev img files but I cannot select more than one. Thanks for your answers. I tries to look for a tutorial but all I could find only invloved one img file.

How can I do (sorry, I must be thick).

If you want to know Which firmware to use, look for "H96" firmwares. There are OEM (original Factory FirmwareS) and there are those made by Hobbyists, like SuperCeleron and others. Each firmware is like eating a favorite food where the programmer is following a different recipe - Each programmer works following their own priorities for what needs fixing.

As for how to FLASH, there are two methods used.... copying the firmware on to a SD CARD or using a COMPUTER & an USB CABLE using USB Burning Tool software.

The Cable you need is a USB 2.0, USB A to USB A connectors. Sometimes it is called a USB Patch Cable, sometimes not. You can buy one on **** or Amazon. If you're not in a hurry, **** is cheaper but delivery can be up to 3 weeks. Just search for "USB A to USB A cable". I recommend buying the least expensive cable you can find since you will rarely use it.

Each firmware is only capable of being uploaded to your device by SD Card or USB Burning Tool... but not BOTH - It depends on whether it's a ZIP file or IMG file, and whether it's a partial upgrade or a full system wipe. Read any forums related to each firmware to find out which is the best way to upload (FLASH) it to your device.

If you read on the forums, you will find detailed instructions on how to use either method, and the benefits of each method.

No one will be able to guide you on a step-by-step for burning firmware on your particular device - because there are SO many devices out there.

Everything you want to know has already been posted - So Don't be afraid to read through all the posts.

Sometimes some one will post something that could be quite helpful to you but a lot of the posts are people offering advice, and some just giving their opinions... but you should not be afraid to do a lot of reading.
