    NEW - Minix U1 FW13 - Finless superfast ROM 1.0

    UPDATE! Play Store is now fixed.... Sorry about that I left out one updated lib file.

    Hey all... Been a awhile since I did a ROM

    I did this ROM basically for me as I still use this U1 box as it's still a nice box even over a year later.
    In the process I decided it's worth releasing to the public....
    This is based of the latest FW13 Firmware from Minix.

    I am not going to say a lot about it but here are the features.
    It's Pre-rooted but after first boot you need to run the Superuser APP as it needs to run at least once before using rooted APPS.
    Even though I updated the SU binary in the ROM, the SU APP still says it needs to do that.

    It's totally debloated! And I mean DEBLOATED! I did this to have this box just be for playing videos, KODI, etc.
    For me it runs Kodi 17.x great!
    This ROM is super-fast... After first boot, boots after that are super-fast... You almost don’t get time to watch the boot animation

    I did some other tweaks for memory and video performance. Kind of my usual tweaks I have always done.

    This is a IMG and flashed via the USB Flash Tool.
    Do not ask for a update.zip as I just do not have time to do it. The new ZIP architecture is a PITA and takes a lot of time which I do not have.

        I'm getting inumerous google play store force closes on this rom, I don't know about other users but it doesn't provide a good experience.

            Hmmm..... I am not getting force close...
            Can you tell me where you are seeing this? e.g. wehat are you doing when it closes?

              After I have installed my personal apps it happens, did you change any setting on the framework?

                    Finless one thing I notice on your tweaks never have seen just a smooth butter, clear image, never has the box been running as good as now. No bugs. Really minix doesn't need to release any newer edition of its firmware thanks to this rom.

                    On YouTube for Android tv on stock rom I notice video stutter not with your rom,really amazing

                        Installed it, and it works like a charm. Super fast! After using it for 3 hours intensively I didn't find any bugs or any other problems. The only issue I have with this rom and the minix rom is that my location doesn't seem to work. But make no mistake about it, flashing this Finless rom is by far the best thing to do for your Minix U1. Anyway, thanks Bob for the knowledge and energy you put in it. 👍

                          I will look into the location services. Never used it myself but this might not be hard to fix.

                            Have you tried enabling it on setting instead of device only choosing network to detect, can't identify what can improve this rom any further
