    Pipo M6 - Perfect RileyROM 1.5 Mod

After the disappointing performance of Pipo's official ROM released on 6th August, used as the base for RileyROM 1.6, some have began to explorer alternative combinations of ROM's and kernels.

Following a little testing of my own over the past week, I can highly recommend the following combination, for best performance and fluid perform to date.

    - Recovery - Clockworkmod V6
    - ROM - RileyROM V1.5 - #49
    - Kernel - RileyROM V1.6 - 4.2.2 SDK 2.0
    - Parameter - 4GB

Antutu Benchmark also confirms an enhanced performance comparable to many stock mini PC's.

While addition performance could be obtained from previous kernels by modifying the minimum clock speed to 1008Mhz, the new interactive governor performs very well on the stock 312-1608MHz.

Hopefully Randy may release this combination as RileyROM V1.5B. ;-)

Thank you Randy for making all this possible. :-)

I'm glad to see some innovation going on with my ROMs!!!!!!

Hopefully Pipo will come out with an update soon that will fix all of the problems with SDK 2.0.

    Great job, rceccleston!!!!!

We are hoping too. This device deserves a decent firmware.. otherwise it will be such a pity.. I am hoping that they increase the keyboard speed while typing in stock browser...

      Thanks Randy for firmwares.

I do not experience any lag on my keyboard with this combination.

I can recommend deselecting all privacy options and disable preload to help speed up Chrome.

I would also appreciate a little more detailed instructions on how to install this setup. Should I download both the 1.5 and 1.6 release, then replace 1.5's kernel.img with 1.6's kernel.img, then flash?

And what is the 'recovery' thing about? I don't really know what recovery mode is.

So far I've been using rileyrom 1.7 but I still find the UI a bit laggy when resolution is set to HD.

              Many thanks!
