    H96 PRO+ FIRMWARE UDATE FAILED?

Hi all I followed the correct instructions and downloaded the latest firware upgrade from 6.0 to 7.1 carefully step by step attempted the upgrade and my box just went blank? no sign or graphics on screen showing the android update starting ? I then downloaded a different firmware update for the h96 pro and got exactly the same results a blank screen - my box is now useless and I'm baffled as what to do next to recover it? are ther any ways I can get it to accept new firmware or to get it to re-boot again - or does it sound like my first attempt ha bricked the box? any help welcomed please as I am now up the creek without a paddle - thankyou TRUEY.

I too bought that one from banggood and the driver they supply is the wrong one! If it says
S32-V5(LPDDR3) on the motherboard you need a different driver than on their site. Different ram and wifi chip.
I hope banggood can find the right update version soon and post it. I would suggest that you get a refund since they provided the wrong driver! After a very long process I managed to get my working again after a VERY long process and steep learning curve.
I used a usb burner tool and burned a test version directly to it so it would boot up. Look into how to use a burner tool and remember to cut and paste the licence content into the installation licence folder. I the used the usb burner tool to load http://freaktab.org/85432f8b02baeb49 into the box using a regular usb male to male cable.
Cable goes from usb CLOSEST to the power jack(on box) and into the pc AFTER you pressed START in the burning program. Then you a put in the power jack (plug in wall wart) and it should begin to burn the image into pc box. If get red letters saying MAC=0 you haven't copied the licence information (should beprovided with usb burning tool) into the licence folder(inside the installation directory). WHEN it stops at 4% unplug usb cable and put it back in again and it should go to 100&. Then unplug usb and power.
Now it should be able to start the TEST VERSION with restored bootloader. Plug in HDMI cable and power and it should show install image on TV. This in only a temporary version so quickly finish the installation. You have installed this rom so you can use the automically update function (in regular phone settings).
Now you must download another image (the only one I got working(somewhat) and COPY that to a regular Sd card with fat32, max 32GB and file in ZIP format. Found here http://freaktab.org/5e53ea45357608d7
Put the SD card inside TV box and and press the SETTINGS icon, and under About, you find the update function. Choose the LOCAL function (choose correct rom in the list) and press confirm. It should reboot automatically and install the OTA-SCV7A rom. Now the tv box should work good enough until someone here makes a custom ROM for it
There is probably some micro details I've missed but I got some information here http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...are-dead/page3 There is a lot of different ROMs out there and they are not interchangeable! You must have the correct ROM for both RAM and WIFI chip! This is not obvious and some of the boxes have different internals even though the markings on the outside is exactly the same. Also, please dont send me any PM's since I'm a beginner too and I've only done this for 6-7 hours. I hope this helps you with your bricked box and don't upgrade at ALL if you have a working BOX.
