I think you should get one from the seller for the tests and development. As one of the active devs of custom roms.
Without your hard work together with other developers in this forum, I believe that the sales rates were match worse for these potentially awesome gadget.
I'm personally "responsible" for more than 20 purchased sticks and, frankly speaking, the stock roms are huge disappointment. I wouldn't recommend anyone one to have one without custom firmware and an incredible support from the devs here.

I am feeling that way too. I am very appreciative of all the hard work of the devs here, but Tronsmart has turned me off to the whole chinese AMP scene. I still haven't been able to play games via emulators worth a snot (input lag is terrible, and speed isn't that great either). I think I will wait for OUYA 2, or for OUYA 1 to hit $50.

Yeah I don't actually want one.. just figured it won't work right so someone will have to fix it, as usual.

I will say that I just got a new mk802-iv and it's actually really good with the mix of kernel/rom I put on it..

Just quoting. Purchased MK908 in August, had bad adventure on shipping (not geekbuying issue - DHL sucks so bad) and - FATALITY - a newer version is out and I can't download 10mb of anything via Wifi without disconnections with the one I purchased.

I had exactly the same problem - disconnections every couple minutes while all other connected wifi clients were just fine . The solution for me was replacing the router. I'm not telling you to buy a new one but if you have a spare or can get one for some time it worth a try.

I quick look at the specs of MK908II does not reveal any new compared to MK908. So actually I suspect that they just improved the WiFi reception my adding the external antenna. I predict that the hardware is otherwise the same we have in MK908 v3.

I think that will be a good wifi signal and so on on new model mk908II but still how do you know that this product will be a ban one??
On google/youtube etc I didnt find any review to see if this model is bad or not..big words from you and no proof of your affirmation.
