    NEXT7P12-8G (White Screen/No Picture)

NEXT7P12-8G (Nextbook 7" Tablet with 8GB Memory with Google Mobile Services)

Has anyone had any problems with your nextbook screen going white? This just started happening and I've only had it for about 4 months. It still turns on and off; I can even hear the volume increase/decrease when I push the buttons, however I am getting no picture. Please advise!!!

I don't own that model, but it does sound like a hardware issue to me, assuming you haven't been messing around with the system partition or trying to flash install anything.

I'd consider trying to return/exchange it. I'd try the store where you bought it first. (Walmart?) Otherwise, contact Nextbook.

I know the answer to this one! It's easy but it will void your warranty.
Step one, take a plastic case opening tool or guitar pick, something flat will work. Gently work you way under the back case cover and release all the tabs holding it on. It's not hard but the first time you will think your breaking it.
Step two with the back cover off grab the copper tape that is attached to the back cover.
      Remove copper tape.
      Replace cover
Turn your tablet back on and enjoy.
I was thinking of returning my tablet till I decided to take it apart and see if I could figure out if it was a lose wire or something. I made a lucky guess and removed the copper tape, it's been working fine ever since.

        Got any photos?

I wonder if this is what causes the short between the charging circuit and the touch screen digitizer? Anyone notice the touchscreen doesn't work right on some of the Nextbook models when they are plugged in?

        Thanks for sharing!

Sadly no pictures, but it really is just as easy as remove the back cover and then take the copper foil off the back,
