    H96 pro+ real 4K?

I'm new to this forum, so hello to everyone

Couple days ago I got my H96 pro+ TV Box which is supposed to be displaying 4K. When I downloaded the AIDA64, information about display resolution says that it's 1920x1080.
With the firmware that came installed, there's even no way to change the display settings.
Even in Kodi, the display is fixed to 1920x1080 and there's no way to change it.
If I understand correctly, it simply means that when I play 4K, it's actually displayed in 1080p as the output resolution is set to it.
Is there a way to have an actual 4K resolution displayed by this box? Does the kernel in SCV7A firmware fix that?

Also, what's interesting is that my 4K TV reports that it's getting 4K resolultion which is even more confusing...

    Thanks in advance for help

On most tv boxes...Androids UI (interface) 1080p ( software rendering ) (same goes for Kodi UI)
*5years ago...finless made special 1080p kernels..because then, the where all limited to 720p
But...Hardware rendering depends on hardware/monitor hdcp/decoder used (drm in some cases )
So, 4k video = 4k on screen (if you have the right combi of decoder and hardware )

    Cheers

So, let's assume I have a 4k source material - do I understand correctly that, even Kodi is showing 1080p, my movie is going to be displayed in 4k? How is that possible?

that tv box upscales any source video to 4k resolution.
